Hailing from Wilmington, North Carolina, Blank Hands is a four piece folk rock band heavily influenced by 21st century DIY punk and indie rock. Rising from the ashes of thirteen years of independent songwriting from Mikey Klosek, Blank Hands brings Mikey together with three other musicians (Chris, Austin, and Shannon) that each come from different backgrounds and having their own independent struggles to create a sober positive, hopeful discography. Most of the songs on their most recent debut release (2019's Tabula Rasa EP) are songs revisited from this more broken time period, but updated in a much more mature, higher fidelity, and upstanding fashion, turning those experiences from the lonely plight of addicted youth riddled with torment and heartache into an inspirational ballad of triumph and optimism.
